November 25, 2007 Theatrical Release of “The Namesake” in Japan on December 22, 2007

“The Namesake,” a film EF financed with Fox Searchlight and UTV, will be released nationwide in Japan including Chanter Cine on December 22, 2007. Nominated for Best Feature at the IFP 17th Annual Gotham Awards, the film is directed by Mira Nair and based on the Pulitzer-winning book by Jhumpa Lahiri. The film stars Kal Penn, Tabu and Irrfan Khan.

October 1, 2007 “A Thousand Years of Good Prayers” wins top prize at San Sebastian Film Festival.

“A Thousand Years of Good Prayers,” directed by Wayne Wang and produced and funded by EF, took home the Golden Shell award for best film at the 55th San Sebastian Film Festival. The film also won the award for best actor for Henry O in the starring role.
   
September 28, 2007 Special Screening of “The Namesake” at the Tokyo International Film Festival

“The Namesake,” a film directed by Mira Nair and funded by EF with Fox Searchlight and UTV, will have a special screening on October 26, 2007 at the 20th Tokyo International Film Festival. The film is based on the best-selling book by the Pulitzer-winning author Jhumpa Lahiri and stars Kal Penn, Tabu and Irrfan Khan.
   
September 28, 2007 Screening of “A Thousand Years of Good Prayers” and “The Princess of Nebraska” at San Sebastian Film Festival

“A Thousand Years of Good Prayers” directed by Wayne Wang and funded and produced by EF, was officially screened in competition at the 55th San Sebastian Film Festival. Its companion film, “The Princess of Nebraska,” also had a Zabaltegi Special Screening.
   
September 12, 2007 Theatrical Release of “The Hottest State” on August 24, 2007

“The Hottest State,” a film directed by Ethan Hawke and funded by EF and produced by Barracuda Films, was released in the U.S. on August 24th, 2007.
   
September 12, 2007 Official Screening of “A Thousand Years of Good Prayers” and “The Princess of Nebraska” at Toronto Film Festival

“A Thousand Years of Good Prayers” and its companion film, “The Princess of Nebraska,” both directed by Wayne Wang and funded and produced by EF, had their international premiere in the Masters Section of the 32nd Toronto Film Festival. Both films are based on the short stories by the award-winning author Yiyun Li.
   
September 12, 2007 Official Screening of “A Thousand Years of Good Prayers” at Telluride Film Festival

“A Thousand Years of Good Prayers” directed by Wayne Wang and funded and produced by EF, had its world premiere at the 34th Telluride Film Festival.
   
June 13, 2007 Official Screening of “The Hottest State” at Los Angeles Film Festival

“The Hottest State,” a film fully funded by EF, will be officially screened at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 27, 2007.

The New York premiere of “The Hottest State,” a film fully funded by EF, will be held at the Tribeca Cinemas on June 25, 2007.
   
June 12, 2007 Theatrical Release of “Captain” in August, 2007

“Captain,” a film partially funded by EF, will be released in theaters nationwide including Shibuya Q-AX Cinema, Cinemart Shinjuku, Cinemart Roppongi and Warner Mycal Cinemas Itabashi in August, 2007. The film, based on the best-selling manga by Akio Chiba, was directed and written by Atsushi Muroga with music by Goro Yasukawa and the theme song “Sora no Kanatae” by LEAD. It stars Toshiyuki Fuse, Takuya Ogawa, Ken Nakanishi, Sayuri Iwata, Mao Kobayashi, Shun Sugata, Yoshiko Miyazaki and Toshio Kakei.

“The Namesake” which EF financed with Fox Searchlight, and UTV, will be released in the U.S. in March 9, 2007.
   
January 30, 2007 Theatrical Release of “ CAPTAIN TOKIO”on February 17, 2007

The film “CAPTAIN TOKIO” partially funded by EF will be released nationwide including Shibuya Cinema GAGA!, Cine Libre Ikebukuro from February 17, 2007. The film is written, and directed by Kazushi Watanabe, music by PANTA, theme song “Death in Doughnut” by HiGE, and starring Eiji Wentz, Akiyoshi Nakao, Shigeru Izumiya, Issei Ishida, Kiyohiko Shibukawa, Ichigo Iida, Kazushi Watanabe, Ayako Fujitani, Yumi Yamaoka, Yuhki Himura(bananaman), Osamu Shitara(bananaman), Dankichi Kuruma, Tetsuo Ishidate, and narration by Shigeru Chiba.
