Theatrical Release of inferno
Inferno, a film partially funded by EF, was released on 60 screens
across Japan, including Shinjuku Oscar and Ikebukuro Cinemasunshine. The film,
based on the Seimei no Ki comic book by Daijiro Morohoshi, was directed
and written by Takashi Komatsu, and produced by Taka Ichise with music by Kenji
Kawai. It stars Ema Fujisawa, Hiroshi Abe, Chisun, Yurei Yanagi, Hiroshi Kanbe,
Daikichi Sugawara, Yoshio Tsuchiya, Masami Horiuchi, Minoru Shiraki, Teisui Ichiryusai,
Reiko Kusamura, Kouji Shimizu.

wins the Golden Leopard for film and actress at
the Locarno Film Festival.
"Nine Lives", directed by Rodrigo Garcia
("Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her")
and which Japanese distribution rights partially funded
by EF, won the Golden Leopard for best film and the
Leopard for best actress, which was collectively awarded
to the films 9 actresses, at the 58th Locarno
International Film Festival. Nine Lives
is scheduled for release in 2006 in Japan.
